You hear a lot
of companies say they are “Green” and
that they put the environment first, It’s the new catch phrase. Although there is no current “Green
Certification” available to our industry we have made a conscious
effort to do our part.
At Dennett Tile & Stone we have taken several steps to reduce
the impact on and to protect the environment |
| |
| #1, We installed a state
of the art water filtration plant. This system allows
us to recycle our water in a closed loop system; preventing
the water from entering the sewer system and allows us
to use the cleaned filtered water over and over again.
This process saves millions of gallons of water a year.
We were awarded the Water Conservation Award from the
City of Santa Rosa for our efforts in water conservation. |

|
| |
| #2, The small pieces of stone
from cutting are loaded into our own debris dumpster
and returned to the local quarry to be ground to aggregate
for roadbed base etc. This effort reduces the strain
on the local landfill. |

|
| |
| #3 Our state of the art processing
equipment uses wet diamond cutting and grinding which
helps element airborne dust from the shop and environment. |
|
|
|
|
| |
| #4, Our leftover smaller
pieces that can be used for other smaller projects are
saved and stored in our yard. We want to be able to utilize
every part of the slab to conserve the stone. |

#5 Much of our
new showroom used leftover and reclaimed materials. A new efficient
electrical system and lighting was installed.
Our efforts in conserving natural resources and reducing the
environmental impact on our community are very important to us.
We hope they are important to you as well when considering choosing
which company to work with. |
